In July 2005, in the Canadian city of Vancouver, Laurini Officine Meccaniche s.r.l. won the worldwide competition for best technological innovation of the past two years, organised by British Petroleum. It received the “2005 BP Award” for the groundbreaking project that reduces the cost of laying oil and methane Pipeline.

The illustrious prize was given to our company for the development of equipment that makes it possible to transform normal diggers into Side boom pipe laying tractors used to install the pipeline in the excavation, which drastically reduces investments in other tracked vehicles.

The mobile application makes it possible to reconvert the machine back to its original condition with extreme ease and in just a few hours of work time, offering significant benefits in terms of safety, user comfort and transporting the vehicles, which unlike normal standard pipe laying tractors, the side boom can be transported without having to remove the arm and counterweights.

For the second consecutive time, the ingeniousness of LAURINI OFFICINE MECCANICHE allows them to outperform competitors worldwide and win the 2007 BP Award in Sydney, leaving second and third place to major multinational manufacturers of earthmoving machinery.

At the prize ceremony of the last edition, held in the Canadian city of Vancouver, Marco Laurini, owner and Director of Laurini Officine Meccaniche srl, received the award that left giant multinational earth moving machinery corporations behind it in second and third place.

The new award-winning invention that was entirely engineered and built in our company, is MULETRAX, a Multipurpose tracked tractor specifically designed for the most diverse applications, as it can be transformed as required, replacing machines created and built for specific, single functions.
