A new attachement “Made in Italy” by Laurini Officine Meccaniche is available for every Hydraulic Excavator on the market. The machine consists of frame housing a pair of hydraulic winches that lift a hook block structure. All movements are controlled by the machine operator. The entire system is driven by excavator’s electric-hydraulic system.
The maximum lifting capacity is achieved when the boom is fully raised, and varies depending on the basic machine on which the accessory is installed.
This equipment makes it possible to turn normal hydraulic excavators into “Side boom”, tractors for use in laying pipelines in a trench.
Since the transformation is not permanent, the machine can be restored to its original condition in a few hours, thereby reducing the investment that would normally necessitate the purchase of several machines. Moreover, this solution has the advantages of safety and comfort of the operator and of saving on transportation of the equipment itself.
Unlike standard pipe-laying tractors, the side-boom excavator can be moved without dismantling the boom and counterweights.
The kit makes it possible to transform normal hydraulic excavators into side booms in a few short hours of work.
