This machine consists basically of a heavy-duty steel frame mounted on a hydraulic-driven tracked undercarriage. The loading unit is hinged onto the main frame, on the front part of the machine and consists of a chain conveyor with industrial-type 1540 mm wide shoes fixed to it: it features hydraulic drive and the possibility of increasing or decreasing loading speed.
The loading unit is equipped with hydraulic cylinders for angle adjustment. The vibrating screen, fixed to the rear part of the machine, is reinforced and has a vibrating surface of 5.4 sq m ensuring high output even with fine screens. The screen is also equipped with a special high-frequency vibration generator to prevent clogging even with wet materials. The hydraulic cylinders can be used to lift and lower the screen and change the working angle depending on whether the machine is operating upwards or ownwards.
The fine screened material falls onto a transversal conveyor which unloads the material sideways into the trench. The conveyor can be moved laterally so that it will reach the trench even when positioned away from it. An hydraulic system allows the conveyor to be folded up for transport. The engine, a Caterpillar type C9 with 335Hp@2200rpm and 6 water-cooled cylinders, is located in the front part of the machine, above the loading unit. The engine is protected by a sound-reducing case.
The sound-reducing case also houses: Variable-displacement hydraulic pumps controlling translation and loading unit, Fixed-displacement hydraulic pumps controlling screen vibration, transversal conveyor and hydraulic cylinders, Diesel fuel tank.
Under the loading unit, protected by a sound-reducing case, we have: Solenoid valve assembly with heat exchanger, Electrical system and radio receiver, Hydraulic oil tank.
The machine is operated fully by radio. Every movement, from switching-on to the translation, is operated by means of a radio control which the operator can carry over his shoulder while keeping at a safe distance. |
